Died of acute myocardial failure & arteriosclerosis cardiovascular disease.
Robert was said to of been born in Franklin Co., Texas but his death certificate (info given by RL Ferguson Jr) said he was born in Hopkins Co, Texas. Robert actually died in Wills Point, van Zandt Co., Texas. He was buried in Saltillo, Hopkins Co., Texas at the Stout Cemetery. Robert was a cotton mill worker, bootlegger, then a Honey Grove oil field worker. He later was a barber. Much information was obtained from Family Bibles. Robert Jr. says that his parents were married on the railroad tracks in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Robert Sr. was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Edgewood, Texas. Robert Sr. & Ora bought 2 1/2 acres in Hopkins Co. (Saltillo) from the Bennett Family in August 1942 (warranty deed #253).
When Robert's mother died on July 15, 1943, Robert & wife Ora were living at RFD No 2, Mineola, TX.
