Robert Goldhatch

Goldhatch or Goldwich (the name appears in both forms), a husbandman (farmer) of Ashford, whose Will dated January 10, 1598/9, proved July 19, 1600, named his wife Bennet, eldest son Richard, son William, youngest son Robert, and daughter Alice Goldhatche (Arch. of Canterbury, 51:426). Robert Holdhatch had married, apparently for his second wife, at Ashford, April 16, 1585, Bennett Meade or Meede, who survived him. She, whose name is a corruption of Benedicta, was the mother of Alice, and Alice named her elder Tritton child for her.

Robert Goldhatch was a husbandman (farmer) of Ashford.
