25 April 1583: Charter under Great Seal confirming a charter (dated at Edinburgh 6th April 1585 (sic)) by Robert Grahame of Knokdoliane granting to John Grahame, his son and apparent heir and to Helen Kennedy, his future spouse, lawful daughter of Thomas Kennedy of Bargany and the survivor of them in conjunct fee and the heirs to be lawfully begotten betwixt them, whom failing to said John's heirs male whomsoever, in implement of a marriage contract dated [ ] in the £10 lands of Craig, £5 lands of Milanerdaill, 40 shilling lands called Ballaird and Altikaine, half merk land of Drumwachty (or Drumuauchtane), with mill and mill lands thereof, £10 lands of Auchindraine with manor place, mill and mill lands thereof, £10 lands of Ballachthrull (or Ballochtrule) and Corvar, 5 merk 10s lands of Tomlothre (or Tomlothie), Monunsioun and Balluig (or Moling), with manor, towers, fortalices, yards, orchards, tenants, tenandries and services of free tenants thereof all lyng in the earldom of Carrick, sheriffdom of Air. To be held a me of the King rendering therefor service ought and wont. Reserving to said Robert the liferent of Craig, Ballaird, Altikane, Drumwachty, Auchindraine, Tomlothre, Monunsioun and Balluig, Ballachthoull and Corvar. With precept of sasine addressed to James McCornok. 10 November 1592: Discharge and renunciation by Mr John Graham of Knokdoliane, lawful tutor to Robert Grahame, son liberal begotten between unquhile Robert Grahame of Knokdolian, his unquhile father and Elizabeth Sempill, his spouse and as his lawful administrator in favour of Robert, Master of Eglinton (in consideration of 3200 merks Scots) of a yearly annualrent of 160lib Scots furth of the 5lib land Peacockbankis, corn milne thereof, the 4 merk land of Overbordland, the lands of Quhitleyis, Galbrochhill, Auchentibbers, Littil Fulwode and Struthers all of old extent extending in whole to a 25 merk land lying in the parishes of Stewarton and Dunlop, Bailliary of Cunningham and sheriffdom of Ayr and of another yearly annualrent of 36 bolls of oatmeal furth of the lands called Haning alea Lytillward, the lands called Stanyflatt and Benezaird and others and furth of the 10s land of Meirsyde, all of old extent lying in the parish and regality of Kilwinning, Bailliary of Cunningham and sheriffdom of Ayr.
