The night Grandpa died he had just gotten home from being at Uncle Jimmy's house in El Segundo, CA. Mom and Daddy had just left to go to Mom-mom's house to get his hair cut and Louella was washing dishes and Grandma and I were drying them when Grandpa walked into the kitchen. He sat down at the table and "Muddy" (Their pekinese) jumped up into his lap. Grandma was talking to him about his evening and when he didn't answer her she went over thinking he had gone to sleep as there was a snorring sound, but that was the death rattle. Grandma sent Louell next door to get Russell to put Grandpa in on the bed and I called Mom-mom's house and told Daddy to come right home.
