Robert Seth Harvey was born in 1826 in North Carolina, United States. His parents were Justin Sethaniah Harvey and Zeolutus Margaret Ann Smith. He was a Farmer.

Robert married Arabella E Harvey in 1847 in Sabine, Texas, United States. Together they had the following children: Mary Ann Zelotus Harvey; Robert J. Harvey.

Robert married Sarah Anabelle Harvey on August 10, 1854. Together they had the following children: Jesse T Harvey; Susan A Harvey; Kate Harvey; Ada H Harvey; Margaret A.. Harvey; Lucy Jane Harvey.

He died on August 16, 1882 in Time Sabine Co. Texas, United States and was buried circa August 16, 1882 in Harvey Cemetery, Sabine, Texas, United States.
