Robert de Hyde was married thrice:

1. Margaret, the daughter of Richard Holland of Denton by whom he had two sons Hamnet and John and one daughter Agnes who became the wife of John Arden
2. -------, the daughter of Robert Skargill of London
3. (possibly) -------, the daughter of Boydell of Pulcroft, with whom he had a son Lawrence who settled in West Hatch. Henry Hyde the son of this Lawrence was the father of Edward Hyde the great Earl of Clarendon who was the father of Ann Hyde the Queen of James II and the grandfather of the two succeeding reigning Queens Mary and Anne

The ancestral estates of Robert de Hyde passed to the family of Hamnet Hyde the eldest son and heir who had married Margaret daughter of Lawrence Warren of Poynton, Hamnet dying during his father's lifetime, transmitted the rights to his son Robert.

Death: ABT 1528 possibly in Dec.

Inq. p.m. 1528 (22 Henry 8 year runs April 22 through April 21).

The Hyde line in this tree starts here. Robert was married three times, first to Margaret Holland, then to a daughter of Scargill (?), and finally to Cathrine Boydell.

The first marriage produced a son, Hamnet, who would start a branch that led to Frank Hyde (1838-1920). Two branches developed from there, one where Frank Hyde's daughter Florence married Warren Jordan, the other where another daughter, May, married Tom Powers.

Robert's third marriage produced a son, Lawrence, who would be great-great-grandfather to two Queens of England, Scotland and Ireland (click on "view tree", left).
