Robert Kirk

Robert retired from the Midland Railway company and returned to Wymondham lived in The cottage with his wife Sarah and her older sister Elizabeth. He suffered from depression and during a bout attacked and killed his wife and committed suicide by cutting his throat. This occured on Empire day May 24. The double funeral took place on May 28th, Tuesday. The inquest was made up of a Jury of TW Golling, John Johnson, Joseph coulston, George Bursnail, Herbert Johnson JR. Thomas Oldham William Meadows and William Lambert. Robert Kirk nephew of and son of John Henry died in 1979.
