29 February 1684: Instrument of resignation in the hands of the King by Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn in favour of Roger Kirkpatrick, his second son, of the 40s land of Ellisland (Eleisland) in the barony of Closeburn and parish of Dunscore (Dunscoire) and the 40s land of the Kirklands of Closeburn called Cowfaddock in the parish of Closeburn, reserving said Thomas' liferent, following on disposition dated 28 February 1684.
