Parents: Johannes Kunz II, son of Johannes Kunz I, a citizen of Zwischenflüh, presently working as a cheesemaker in Amsoldingen, otherwise resident at "Moos" in the hamlet of Riedern in Diemtigen Valley and Rosina Knutti, daughter of the late David Knutti, living in the hamlet of Riedern in Diemtigen Valley at "Moos." Married here in Diemtigen in 1842 on October 22nd
Witnesses: David Wiedmer, son of the late Johannes Wiedmer, living "in der Kumm" in Zwischenflueh; Johannes Kunz III, the infant's brother, living at "Moos"; and Katharina Kunz, the father's sister, presently working at "Riedli" in Zwischenflueh.

"Robert Kunz Bern, Idaho-Robert Kunz 93, died in a Montpelier hospital Tuesday evening after an illness. Born Dec. 16, 1862, in Berne, Switzerland. He came to America with his parents when he was 8 years old as converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was active in Church work all his life. He spent his entire life in the Bear Lake area with the exception of a few years in Logan where he was a temple worker. Survivors: eight children, Alvin and Delmar Kunz, Bern, Idaho; Louis, Earl and Oneal R. Kunz, Montpelier; Rosanna Kunz, Salt Lake City; Ella K. Wilde, Los Angeles, Calif.; Erma K. Young, American Fork; 35 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Saturday 1 p.m in Bern Ward chapel. Burial in Bern Cemetery."
