Died of exposure following the crash landing of his colleagues' Beachcraft in a February, 1959 blizzard. The crash site is near Jumping Brook on the North Fork of the Pemigawaset River in the Pemigawaset wilderness near Berlin, New Hampshire. The snowshoes the two doctors made still hang in the President's office of the Dartmouth Outing Club in Hanover, New Hampshire. The Baker Library has a display of photographs and newspaper articles. |
