After being dismissed from the Navy by President Andrew Jackson in 1833. Robert Randolph became the first man to ever assault a sitting president when he confronted President Jackson about the dismissal and then "pulled the presidents nose." Jackson declined to press charges, but was left bloodied by the incident.
