Notes:

According to S.F. Tillman, Robert Reynolds settled in Surry County, Virginia. He is said to have owned land in Fauqier and Norfolk Counties, but no proof of actual residence in either of the two counties has been found. In his will he mentions his children as Robert, Elizabeth, and Susannah. Other data show sons, Robert, b. 1685, Nathaniel, b. 1700, Thomas A.,William, and John. It is quite likely that the children not mentioned in the will received their legacy prior to the death of the father.
