Robert Steuart of Stuarthall, here treated, is reported to have been born in October 1776, Stirnet: Stewart 16 However this appears to be at odds with the record evidence, which shows that his baptism was registered on 10 September 1776, at Edinburgh in Midlothian, Scotland.
