Robert Stone, Greenville, SC, early 1800's Steve Taylor (View posts) Posted: 09 Jul 2005 04:11PM Classification: Query Surnames: Stone, Pollard, Oldham, Roberts Seeking parents and siblings of Robert Stone. He was born ca. 1777 VA. Listed on the 1810 and 1820 Greenville Co., SC census. It would appear he married about 1800, presumably in Greenvile Co., SC. Know of at least 3 children, Nancy, who married Garland Oldham in SC; Barbara, who married John W. Pollard in SC; and a son, John M. Stone who married Permelia Roberts in AL. Robert Stone moved to Marion, Perry Co., AL with is son John M. Stone about 1840. He was still living at the time of the 1850 census in Perry Co., AL but no later record of him has been found.
