Robert White of Somerset

ROBERT White 4 (19), we know not his date of birth or if he was born in South Petherton, but we find him there with wife Joan, who d. Sept. 13, 1631. We do not find his name in South Petherton until the birth or bapt. of his son in 1598. He was churchwarden, as his father and brother had been, taking it at his father's death. He d. Mar. 8, 1642, we find no trace of a will, but the Chancery Proceedings show that he was the father of John White of Wenham and Lancaster, Mass. Children:

20. Andrew White, 5 bapt. in South Petherton, Jan. 15, 1598; he lived in Creech, co. Somerset, his estate settled May 25, 1647.

21. Joan White, 5 b. in South Petherton, bapt. May 13, 1600. [died young]

23. Robert White, 5 b. in South Petherton, bapt. Mar. 26, 1604; m. Mar. 13, 1630, Joan Keemer, she survived him, d. will written Apr. 17, 1673; proved May 2, 1677.

24. Jane White, 5 b. in South Petherton, bapt. Aug. 31, 1606.

25. Joan White, 5 b. in South Petherton, bapt. Dec. 11, 1608; m. Frye.

26. Josias White, 5 b. in South Petherton, bapt. June 13, 1611.

27. Alice White, 5 b. in South Petherton, bapt. Feb. 6, 1614; m. Feb. 18, 1641, John Vile.

28. Thomas White, 5 b., we do not find the date of his birth or baptism, but he settled the estate of his father Robert White.
