BIOGRAPHY Robert du Parc, seigneur d'Availlis, la Rochelle, Romilly, Bernières, etc., was the elder son of Guillaume du Parc, seigneur d'Availlis, and Guillemette de Romilly, dame de Cresnay. About 1390 he married Guillemette de Verdun, dame de Verdun, sister of Colin de Verdun and possibly the daughter of Norman de Verdun. They had two sons, Martin who would have progeny, and Bertrand who did not marry.
Robert was among the knights who accompanied Louis, duc de Touraine (who later became duc d'Orléans), to Lombardy about 1390, and he received from the duke a hundred livres in gold to compensate him for his outlays on the campaign. He served under Marshal Boucicault in Italy, fought at Agincourt in 1415, and was wounded by a lance thrust at the Battle of Beaugé in 1421. He died in 1426 at his château of Cresnay as a consequence of his wounds.
