Roger Olmstead

Biography of Roger Olmstead and Eunice Marsh 1728 to 1800 , Connecticut

Roger Olmstead was baptized in the western part of Hartford Connecticut on January 9, 1728. His parents were Stephen Olmstead and Sarah Merrill. In those day children were customarily baptized the first Sunday after he or she was born.

Roger married Eunice Marsh on February 9, 1758 in New Hartford, Connecticut. Eunice was born in 1734 to Captain Jonathan March (born 1723? in Windsor, Connecticut) and Elizabeth Loomis in Windsor, Connecticut.

After they were married they moved to East Haddam, Connecticut and had the following children:

Gamaliel Jesse - born June 6, 1762 Roger - born August 25, 1764 Eunice - born July 9, 1767 Michael - born July 14, 1770 Sarah - born October 14, 1773 Elizabeth - born 1775: died November 17, 1851 Eunice - baptized September 1778 Elijah - born October 21, 1782; died 1833

Roger died June 6, 1800. Eunice died in 1807.
