  • 12 Mar 1307: "[MONMOUTH.] Penho. 1 Welsh knight’s fee held by Roger de Seymor." ; "Henru. 1/4 knight’s fee held by Roger de Seymor and William Adam." 3.
  • In 1315 he was mentioned in the Inquisition Post Mortem of Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester " that Roger de Seymour, William de Gamage, and their Tenants in Woundy, are answerable in Pleas of the Crown, in the Court of Caerleon." 1.
  • 10 Feb 1317: " He (the escheator) went to certain lands, &c. which the said John held of the king in chief by knight’s service, as appears by inquisitions taken after the death of Gilbert de Knovill his father, and by rolls and other memoranda of the exchequer, and found there Roger de Sancto Mauro, asserting himself to be steward of Thomas, earl of Norfolk and Marshal of England, in the parts of Stroguil, who maintained himself there by force, and would not permit him to execute his office." 6.
