Romeo R. Daigle, 83, of West Hartford, husband of the late Elise (Dufour) Daigle, died Saturday, (December 23, 2000). Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, he had made his home in West Hartford for over 40 years. Mr. Daigle was a retired carpenter, working for Noren & Gillistro, Inc. He was a communicant of St. Mark the Evangelist Church and a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. He is survived by his son, Mario Daigle and his wife, Cindy of West Hartford; his daughter, Patricia Lenares of Ellington; his son, Roger Daigle and his wife, Jean of Enfield; five grandchildren, Andrea Richard, Roger Daigle, Jonathan Lenares, Mark and Michael Daigle; and two great grandchildren, Steven and Rebecca Richard. His sisters, Bertille Fournier in Canada and Olive Lizott of New Britain, also survive him. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 27, beginning with a procession at 10:30 a.m. from the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
