Rosita Nieva-Mayuga belonged to the prominent Nieva clan from Marinduque. Married Dr. Angel Mayuga who was then practicing medicine in Lucena City & Marinduque. Ironically, Lola Rosita died at age 35 of "grano maldito" (an infected pimple), before the advent of antibiotics, and this must have made Lolo Angel feel helpless as a doctor.
