PULSIFER'S DEATH
Boston, October 22 - Though Mr. Pulsifer's death is said by his family to have resulted from natural causes, the mystery surrounding it has given rise to contradictory reports. The general belief is that Colonel Pulsifer committed suicide to escape worry on account of his business troubles. It was first stated that he had taken opium, but a telephone message from Newton said that he had shot himself through the heart -probably on Thursday night, though the body was not found till Saturday. The message also stated that a revolver was found on the bed beside the dead man.He was publisher of the Boston Herald. He was found dead at his summer home in Islington. He was suffering from nervous prostration.
