About Ruth Ayer
Ruth Wilford Ayer (1672-1708), daughter of Gilbert Wilford and Mary Dow, was born on 15 November 1672, probably in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts. On 20 August 1692, Ruth was arrested on charges of witchcraft in the 1692 Salem witch trials, but nothing further is known of the proceedings against her.
