Ruth Butterfield died on January 11, 1754, at Arlington, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[1] She was a widow and died of old age when she was 80 years old.

Family
Jonathan Butterfield (Jonathan Benjamin) was born in Chelmsford. He was a husbandsman at West Cambridge, near the Foot of the Rocks, now Arlington.
In February, 1706, he was one of a scouting party (Green's Groton) in the Indian War. He died in 1744.
On June 18, 1744, the widow Ruth and sons Jonathan, John and William sign the mother's bond as administratix of the estate of Jonathan Butterfield late of Cambridge, deceased intestate. The widow died 1753-4
