About Ruth Heeter
Ruth and three of her children died within 30 days of each other.
The children were Naomi, Levi and George (he left behind a wife and 4 children)
Heeter Family Letters says that Ruth Bryan was born 1 Jun 1794 and died 2 May 1844, while Ken J. Heeter's pedigree chart published in the Kosciusko County 5-generation book says that she was born 30 Mar 1793 and died 2 Mar 1844. The numbers lead me to conjecture that the ultimate source for both of these alternatives is a hard-to-read tombstone and a birthdate calculated from age at death. According to Lindsay Brien's Miami Valley Genealogies, Vol. 4, p. 85, Ruth's stone in the New Providence Lutheran Cemetery in Perry twp, Montgomery Co., OH reads: Ruth Heeter, wife of John, died May 2, 1844, age 50y 11m 2d. From this, I would get a birthdate of 30 May 1793, but it is likely that Lindsay Brien got the inscription wrong.
According to Lindsay Brien's Miami Valley Genealogies, Vol. 4, p. 84, Ruth died at age 50 in the cholera epidemic of the spring of 1844, as did her children George (age 30), Levi (age 21), Naomi (age 18), and daughter-in-law Amelia (age 21, wife of John). All of these other deaths are between February and early April, making the March date for Ruth's death more likely than the May date. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/K1X4-4FL https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/7435749/ruth-heeter
