   Ruth Hally Lee of East South Street, Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Hollywood,

Fla., died Saturday in ChicagoBorn in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of
the late Luke F. and Sarah Mitchell Hally.

Educated in St. Mary’s High School, she attended the University of Chicago
and was a graduate of Seton Hill College, Greensburg. She did graduate work at
Columbia University, New York City, and Barry University, North Miami, Fla.

She taught school in Hanover Township, Dade and Broward counties, Florida,
and Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church,
Wilkes-Barre; a member-at-large of the American Association of University
Women; a member of the Wyoming Valley Women’s Club; a member of the local,
state and national Retired Teachers Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred K. Lee Sr.; brothers, the
Revs. Michael A., Luke F. and James J. Hally; a sister, Marie Hally; a
granddaughter, Elizabeth Mary Lee.

Surviving are a son, Fred K. Jr., Maryland; a daughter, Hallie Herba,
Chicago; two granddaughters; a sister, Agnes Hally Kupstas, Wilkes-Barre; two
nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the McLaughlin Funeral
Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in
St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
