Uncle Cleve was at training camp when he got ahold of a bad grenade and it exploded. He lost his left arm up to his elbow. He had a stroke in the 1960s, and could not talk easily. That never stopped him from carrying the mail, being a deacon at the Eminence Baptist Church and being the Sunday School Superintendent.
