About Sampson C. McKinney
Sampson and Martha Jones McKinney were both Choctaw Indian. The Dawes Card gave Nashoba County as the tribal enrollment place for his parents. The parents are listed as dead.
The Bible record has Sampson's birthplace and burying place as near Wister.
From looking at the old Choctaw Nation Map that has the political divisions, Wister was in Nashoba County. This area is now in LeFlore County. Back then it was in the Apukshunnubbee District.
1885 Census Choctaw Nation Nashoba County - No McKinney's Blue - no matches San Bois - no matches Red River - no matches Atoka - no matches Boktuklo - no matches Kiamitia - no matches

What the Dawes file has: James Wesley (through an interpreter) gave testimony, He said Zachariah Jones was a Choctaw citizen and Melinda was a white woman. This must have been filed here by mistake. Ann Buris was the midwife for the birth of Gladys. B.M Stark was the midwife for the birth of Irving.
