p. 47 The "First Church of Christ" was organized by the council on the day of the ordination of Mr. Boardman, and gave the call to the minister, which he accepted, and the ordination followed. The record Mr. Boardman made of the organization of the church is thus rendered:

In this history of New Milford, Connecticut, a Deacon Samuel Brownson of Farmington, CT arrived in New Milford in 1708, 2 years after the first settler. In 1712 he became a town treasurer and in 1713, a selectman.
