Samuel Campbell, born Aug. 12, 1779 and died August 19, 1841 in Marion county, Ohio, son of Robert and Jane Campbell, married Nancy, a daughter of Hon. John Oliver, who came to Juniata Valley in 1769 or 1770, married Margaret Lyon, and had a family of 12 children - 4 sons and 8 daughters. Four of the Campbells - three brothers, John, Joseph and Samuel, and a cousin John - married four of the Oliver sisters - Rachel, Elizabeth, Nancy and Jane, respectively.
