1740 - Listed in New London Twp on the Chester County Pa Tax rolls.

Between 1721 and 1745 - Settled on land in Derry Twp, Lancaster Co (now Dauphin Co), PA.

17 Dec 1745 - Made his will naming son Hugh Campbell and his six children consisting of Samuel, Elisabeth and four others, daughter Mary wife of Thomas Bowman and their five children consisting of Joan and four others, son William Campbell and one child, daughter Joan wife of James Clark and their children John, Samuel, Isabella and others; his wife is unnamed but still living; Hugh and William Campbell named executors; residence Derry Twp, Lancaster Co., PA.

Oct 1747 - Died.

03 Nov 1747 - Last will and testament was proved.

Samuel Campbell's will was written in 1745 and proven on Nov. 3rd 1745 or 7 in Lancaster Co. PA.

According to Cathryn Ann Campbell Kalata's 31 July 2001 message on Campbell Family Genealogy Forum--GENFORUM "copies of Samuel's Hugh's, and William's wills were disvocered together in the "Campbell" file in the PA State Library. They had been there for numerous years. Samuel's has the register of Wills verification from 1830 on it."

Children mentioned in Samuel's will are Hugh (married to Margaret), William( married to Rebickah) Jean (married to James Clark , and Mary (married to Thomas Bowman.

Samuel was an elder of the Donegal Presbytery at Conewago in 1743.
