Not the same as Samuel ‘the miller’ Carter, Jr.
The Samuel Carter who Settled in Chatham County, North Carolina, United States of America, and had a son Samuel Carter who moved to Pike County, Mississippi was not the man, who married into the Brinsley Barnes Family! Both married a Mary Barnes, but from two different Barnes families. Samuel Carter that married Mary Barnes of Brinsley Barnes died in Indiana, That branch moved to Indiana, not Mississippi. This ancestry tree has meshed together over time as all online trees. Not the Samuel who died in Indiana.
