Samuel Sealtiel huwde Roza (Roosje) Lever in 1877. Ze kregen 14 kinderen waarvan acht kinderen de volwassen leeftijd bereikten, onder wie David, Jacob, Hartog, Israel en Saartje. Roza stierf in 1911. Samuel hertrouwde in 1913 met Saartje Hartog. Zij stierf in 1934. Door dit huwelijk werden Mozes Content en Ephraim Content zijn stiefzoons.
Samuel Sealtiel was meer dan veertig jaar oppasser bij de Portugees-Israëlitische Gemeente. Hij verkocht eigen gemaakte poppen op straat en liep met de mierikkar. In 1929 was hij te oud om er regelmatig met handel op uit te gaan, mede omdat hij een dubbele breuk had. In 1933 werd Samuel opgenomen in het Portugees-Israëlitisch Oude Liedenhuis. Na de dood van zijn tweede vrouw mocht hij daar vanwege zijn lange staat van dienst voor de Portugees-Israëlitische gemeente blijven, hoewel daar verder alleen echtparen waren opgenomen. The Vereniging Misjenet Zekeniem (aid to the elderly) opened in 1796. This association helped establish the Portugees-Israëlitisch Oude Mannenhuis (Portuguese-Jewish home for elderly men), which was located on the Nieuwe Herengracht throughout its existence. Samuel was sjammes (oppasser) bij de Snoge (Portugees-Israelitische synagoge) Achterkleinzoon Joseph (30-7-1942) was sinds 1987 sjammes van de synagoge in Bussum Samuel Sealtiel was murdered in Auschwitz Death Camp, on 28 februari 1943 at the age of 85 years
