Samuel Dennett, son of Alexander Dennett and Mehitable Tetherly, was born about 1700 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire or vicinity. [1]
He was a blacksmith and resided in Portsmouth. An account book that he used in his business is in the possession of James V. Dennett of Framingham, Massachusetts. There is also a sword, two books and other articules said to have been brought from England by his two brothers. [1]
The Dennetts probably came to America about 1664.
