About Samuel Hutchins Dillard
Samuel Dillard was the son of Captain James Dillard and Mary Ramage. He was the husband of Lydia Duckett. He moved from South Carolina to Tallapoosa County, Alabama where he farmed and was raising his family of 10 children before his death at the young age of 48

After the Revolution, James Dillard and Mary Ramage continued to live in Laurens County where they reared their family. They had seven children:
