Not the same as Samuel Fiske
Samuel was the second son of William Fiske, Sr. the emmigrant .and the only brother of Deacon William Fiske. Married Phebe Bragg Nov. 6, 1679 and was made freeman in 1685. On land records he is sometimes listed as William Fiske, Sr. and his occupation was a tailor. He was frequently elected to the offices of selectman, constable, tithingman, etc. He acquired a large landed estate and married for his second wife Mrs. Hannah Allen, May 24, 1697. He died Oct. 31, 1716 but before his decease he distributed his property to his five sons as follows:
SAMUEL, JOHN, DANIEL, WILLIAM and BENJAMIN. (all by first wiffe) By his second wife Hannah he had a daughter HANNAH, who died young. Four of his sons married and had families, but Benjamin died unmarried Sept. 16, 1719. Samuel and John settled in Boxford on their inherited property.......see book for more
