Samuel Gore

Biography

Samuel Gore b say 1595 died 19 May 1643 Grocer of London married 18 Jan 1626 Elizabeth Hill. Three of their daughter came to New England: Hannh, Mary and Elizabeth.[1] Sources

Late apprentice to Henry Dodd" From Boyd's Marriage Index "1625/6 18 Jan. Samuel Goare and Elizabeth Hill, Rothearhithe (a district of London)." They were probably parents of the girls who came to New England, based on name Elizabeth common to Mrs Gore and Mrs Gager; presumed date of birth of Mrs Gager; short time between Samuel Gore's freedom from appreticeship and marriage of Samuel and Elizabeth Hill. "Quite possibly related to John Gore who came to Roxbury 1635."
