Samuel Jervois of Brade was born 1724, son of Samuel Jervois and Susannah Becher.
He was witness to Bandon deeds in 1742 & 1743. He was recorded chasing Bandetti in Murdering Glen outside Bantry with Richard and John Townsend and Daniel Callaghan in 1777. He was recorded as member of Bandon Hanover Association meeting, Cork, 1791 re Whiteboys.
The Will of Samuel Jervois of Brade, Cork, was dated 26 May 1790 and proved 3rd Oct 1795 (Betham's extracts). It lists:
wife: Ellen
son: Joseph
daughters: Susanna, Martha, Maria, Ellen and Elizabeth Murphy, wife of John
sons: Samuel, brother of Joseph, Samson and William, the same.
Samuel Jervois's death is recorded in the CG & GA, 30 May 1795; "On the 12th inst, unreservedly and deservedly lamented Samuel Jervois of Brade, in West Carbery, Esq. aged 71"
