Samuel Nickerson was born in 1638 at Massachusetts. He was the son of William Nickerson and Anne Busby. Samuel married Mary Bell, daughter of John Bell, in 1660 at Massachusetts. Samuel Nickerson died before 17-Apr-1719.
Samuel first built a house and settled in Monomoit on land between Crow's Pond and Ryder's cove which was deeded to him by hi father on Feb. 12, 1673/74, along with 6 acres of upland near Oyster Pond. He removed to at Harwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, circa 1696. In 1696 he made a transaction with William Cahooh in which he exchanged his Monomoit property for land in Harwich which included a dwelling. The Inventory of Samuel Nickerson was taken on 17-Apr-1719.
Marriage
Torrey's suggests a marriage either circa 1660 or by 1682: “NICKERSON, Samuel (-1719) & Mary [BELL]; ca 1660, by 1682; Yarmouth/Harwich[1]”
