About Samuel Savage, Esq,
Samuel was the brother of Elizabeth Boulter, Rebecca Merrett and Charles Savage. He died after Elizabeth and Charles, inheriting their wealth (*note I haven't factored where Rebecca stands in all this as yet - there is a court case contesting the will of Sir Charles between the Savages and the Merretts).
He owned Hughenden Manor for a period, before it was passed on to John Norris (1721-1786)
Savage Gardens, London
"Sir Thomas Savage, created Viscount 1626, had a house on Tower Hill. " Savage Gardens," Tower Hill, still commemorates the name." Ref: Full text of "The annals of the parishes of St. Olave Hart Street and Allhallows Staining, in the city of London. Ecclesiastically united, A.D. 1870"
There's no indication of any relationship link between this family and the family of Sir Thomas Savage, although it appears they attended the same church; St. Olave Hart Street.
