Samuel Truesdell, Jr. had but one wife - Elizabeth (Hammond) Truesdell. The second wife usually credited to him ("Hammond Family"; "Eddy Genealogy"; "Ward Genealogy") in the person of Elizabeth (Wilson) Ward, was the wife of his son Samuel III, as proved by deed of 1728 (Middlesex Deeds, 34-359), the administration of his estate (Middlesex Prob 22840) and the guardianship papers of Samuel's grandson Richard (Middlesex Prob. 22841).
