About Samuel Force Williams
Samuel and Henry were twins. He was a farmer with horses and sheep. Later he owned half interest in the Thurston Flour and Seed Mill just south of Burlingham near the family home on a branch of the Shade River. He was also a road supervisor. The 1850 census shows them in Athens, Ohio, 167 Lodi Township. Williams, Thurston, and Story were all in Meigs County, and members of all three families ended up in Montana in the flour business.
In 1900 Samuel and Elizabeth were living in Athens County. Their son Frank, age 44, was living with them.
