After her husband's death, "Sara Schouten of New York, butcher" signed a petition in behalf of her son-in-law, Abraham Breser. In a census of 1703 her household consisted of one male, two females, and five children (doubtless grandchildren and their parents). She is last mentioned as a sponsor of her granddaughter, Sara Van der Beek at Aquackanonck, 31 Dec 1708. Eunice H.
