Mrs. J.I. Allyn, after an illness of three weeks from pneumonia, died at her home this morning at 7 o'clock. Mrs. Allyn was 46 years of age and was borne near Alvingston,Ontario, where she was married twenty-three years ago. Fourteen years ago she came to Laramie with her family. Besides a husband she leaves two children living, Francis and Alexander. She was a member of the Baptist church of this city.
Her sister, Mrs. Parks, who resides in Denver, arrived in Laramie this morning. Her other brothers and sisters live in Canada and will probably not be able to attend the funeral. Mrs. Allyn was well known and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends.
She has been regarded as one of the grandest woman characters in the city. She was a neighbor who was always kind. Her presence among the sick and her Christian work are said to have been like the burst of angelhood. She held out her hand in kindness to all and her death is but the heavenly homegoing of her grand spirit.
