Mrs. Sarah Crowther, age 83, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. G. Morley, in Forest Grove April 16, 1915.

She was born Marcy 17, 1832 as Sarah Turner at Kendall Green, England. She came to the United States at the age of 17. She married Israel Crowthers in 1859. They lived in Forest Grove for 25 years. They had ten children, eight of whom survive: Edward and Eli, Wisconsin; William, Gales Creek; Joseph and Mrs. Agnes Helgirson, Dallas; Mrs. Bertha (L. G.), Forest Grove; Frank Crowthers, Idaho; and Irwin, California.

Interment at Forest View cemetery.
