Who are Sarah Dille's Parents?

One view, very common on the Internet, is that Sarah Dille, of Woodbridge, New Jersey, is the daughter of John Woodbridge and Mercy Dudley, of Newbury, Massachusetts.

The Sarah Woodbridge who is the daughter of Rev John Woodbridge VI, Presbyterian Minister from Newbury, MA, was born in 1640 (Newbury Town & Vital Records).

John Dille (Dill, Dilley) married Sarah in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, in 1672/73. It is believed that John Dille came from Massachusetts about the same time as the Woodbridge family, which is seen as circumstantial evidence that Sarah Dille and Sarah Woodbridge are the same person.

Other the other hand, Dille family researchers have not located a shred of evidence that Sarah Dille is, in fact, the daughter of John Woodbridge and Mercy Dudley. They have not found a marriage license and references to Sarah Dille, wife of John, do not mention her maiden name.

Notice also, that the given names of Sarah and John Dille's children are John, Susannah, Sarah, Jonathan, and Aaron. None of the daughters is named Mercy.
