Wm. Fletcher C. Eeds married Sarah Lavender, whose family lived in Greene County, Alabama. Her death occurred in Ellis County, Texas, in 1891, at the age of sixty-four. Their children were: Rufus L.; Mrs. Florence Harris, of Iowa Park; Morgan Clement who died in Ellis County; Anna, who died in Ellis County as Mrs. David McMullen; and James Preston, who also died in Ellis County. --A History of Texas and Texans, Vol.5 by Frank White Johnson, pp. 2116-2117
