Sarah Eggleton, daughter of William Eggleton and Mary Dickinson, did not marry Thomas Peirson/Pearson. The husband of Thomas was Sarah Eggleton, and they married in Holborn before Thomas was transported to Australia (his wife, Sarah, as well as his daughter -- also Sarah -- and his son, Thomas came on the same ship, as free settlers). Sarah Eggleton did not die in Temora at age 97 or 98.... that Sarah Eggleton is a quite-different person, and was recorded as being age 60 at time of death (ages at death are sometimes incorrect, but a disparity of nearly forty years is unlikely. There is not a single VERIFIABLE reference to the eldest daughter of William and Mary after the record of her baptism on 25/12/1788; the sites who give her a whole gang of children (including "Rosetta", whom she is recorded as having had in 1800, when she was eleven!) and several husbands or lovers (including Thomas Summers and Samuel Solomon) are confusing her with the other two Sarahs, Sarah Eglington (born c 1772, died 22/5/1842 at Richmond, NSW) and Sarah Pearson, daughter of Sarah Eglington (baptised January, 1796 at Holborn, wife of Thomas Summers). An article held at the Federation of First Fleeters, Sydney, traces these biographies in detail.
