About Sarah Mary Honeyfield
Obituary
The death is announced of Mrs Honeyfield, relict of the late Mr Wm. Honeyfield of New Plymouth, at the age of 63. Mrs Honeyfield was the younger daughter of the noted Richard Barrett (who played such an important part in the history of this colony) and Rawinia (a chieftainess of the Nagmotu tribe). Although the home of her parents was at Moturoa, the deceased was born at the whaling station in Queen Charlotte Sound, whither Barret had taken her mother when on one of his whaling expeditions.
