Dear father,

I'm sending you two ties for Christmas. They are as near like the ties you wear as any I can find. This is a large city the stores look very much like Christmas and the weather has been quite cold until this afternoon its almost too warm for a coat on the stret but the nights are cold. Jim is doing well you know he is a bridge carpenter but has a ranch just a mile and a half from town and we are going out there to live. Not much farming just cattle. They grow cotton and feed. Its 185 acres but its lots different farming here than in Ontario. Hope you have a good Christmas and that you like these ties,
