http://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:Samuel_Webster_%282%29
- Sarah b.abt 1730. She m. Abijah Martin of Woodbury, Litchfield, CT. There is a marriage record in Lebanon 14 Apr 1748, but it is for Sarah and James Jetson. The story is that he used an assumed name. He was a sea captain. Because of domestic troubles it is said that he changed his name. When this became known to Sarah Webster, she refused to live with him. At length she relented and they were married under his true name of Abijah Martin. Their home was in Bethlehem, a hamlet of Woodbury CT. In the French & Indian War, Abijah was taken prisoner and was given up for lost. "Twice she married him and twice she mourned him". She moved to Peachum, VT where she lived to nearly 90yrs, dying in 1819 in Peachum. Three of her sons were in the Revolutionary War, two enlisting from Bethlehem, CT. She had 8 children, most born in Woodbury, CT.
